The 36-year-old had battled Grasso to a draw in their rematch last September after losing the belt in early 2023 to her via submission.

“It’s like a dream come true fighting in the Sphere,” Shevchenko said. “I want to thank the UFC for what they are doing for us fighters. I appreciate it with all my heart.”

Shevchenko now owns wins over the likes of Holly Holm, Jessica Andrade, Julianna Pena and Joanna Jedrzecjzyk.
