Competing well into the morning hours in England, the Liverpool native became the first since 2009 to submit Green.

Pimblett locked in a triangle choke that put Green to sleep inside of four minutes in the first round. With the win, he improved to 22-3 overall and remained unbeaten through six appearances inside the Octagon.
Recently, Pimblett signed a new contract with the UFC. He debuted in the promotion in 2021 and scored a first round knockout.
Since that, Pimblett has earned three submissions and a decision over Tony Ferguson.
“Statement made (expletive),” Pimblett said after the win. “I’m the first person to submit Bobby in the UFC. That’s saying something. That’s a statement. To all you haters out there that said I’d never get a ranking, what now?
“I have a name that everybody wants, Renato Moicano.”
A former Cage Warriors and Full Contact Contender champion, Pimblett is just 29 years old and part of the next generation of MMA.
