Welcome to the latest UFC results, as the Octagon set up shop in Paris, France. UFC Fight Night 226, or UFC on ESPN+ 84, took place Saturday from the Accor Arena in Paris, France. It marked the second event in the country, with Ciryl Gane performing in the main event both times.
UFC Results: Big Win For France Heavyweight Ciryl Gane
Ciryl Gane made another big splash in his return to France, scoring a finish in the main event of UFC Paris Saturday from the Accor Arena in Paris, France. The entire event aired live on ESPN+.
Gane scored a second round finish vs. Sergey Spivak, earning his second such win in his native country. The 33-year-old improved to 12-2, getting back on track after a loss earlier this year to Jon Jones for the vacant heavyweight title.
In his career, Gane has only lost to Jones and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, with the latter coming via decision and also being for the belt.
Former UFC champion Rose Namajunas was unsuccessful in her debut at flyweight, losing by decision to Manon Fiorot in the co-main event. Fiorot, a French-born fighter, is unbeaten in six UFC appearances, moving to 11-1 overall.
UFC Results: Main Card Filled With Finishes
The first four bouts of the main card from Paris ended early, including two in the opening round.
In a pair of featherweight affairs, Morgan Charriere and William Gomis were victorious. Charriere finished Manolo Zecchini with a knockout in the first round while Gomis stopped Yanis Ghemmouri with a kick to the body in the third.
Volkan Oezdemir submitted Bogdan Guskov with a first round rear-naked choke and Benoit Saint-Denis stopped Thiago Moises in the second.
UFC Results: Decisions Galore During Prelims
While the main card featured finishes, decisions were the norm on the prelims, as all but one bout went to the scorecards.
Taylor Lapilus, Ange Loosa, Nora Comolle and Jacqueline Cavalcanti were all decision winners while Farid Basharat submitted Kleydson Rodrigues.

The middleweight title will be on the line next weekend when Israel Adesanya defends his belt against Sean Strickland. UFC 293 takes place from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and the Qudos Bank Arena.
