Teofimo Lopez came out on top in a championship battle with Jamaine Ortiz Thursday night.
The event aired live on ESPN+ from the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.
After 12 rounds of action, all three judges ruled in favor of Lopez.
Lopez claimed the WBO title with a win last June over Josh Taylor, which also netted him The Ring junior welterweight belt. Both the WBO and lineal junior welterweight titles were on the line.
Ortiz, a former USBA and NABF lightweight champion, was coming off a win over Antonio Moran after suffering a loss to Vasily Lomachenko the bout before.

Keyshawn Davis took care of his first former champion, finishing Jose Pedraza on his feet. The referee called a stoppage to the bout in the sixth round as he retained his WBO Intercontinental title.
Davis a 24-year-old with six knockouts among his first nine pro bouts, comes from a fighting family. Two of his brothers are also currently competing in boxing.
The bout was a meeting of Olympians, as Davis claimed silver for the U.S. at the 2020 Summer Olympics while Pedraza represented Puerto Rico at the 2008 Games.
In one of the featured bouts, George Acosta and Rene Tellez Giron battled punch-for-punch, as both threw over 400. In the end, it was Giron declared the winner by unanimous decision to improve to 19-3 overall.
Javier Martinez earned a one-sided decision over Raul Salomon. The southpaw moved to 10-0 in his career with the performance.
Abdullah Mason stopped Benjamin Gurment in the second round and Charlie Sheehy topped Abdel Sauceda via unanimous decision.
Lemis Isom Riley and Alan Garcia picked up TKO victories, including a 51-second stoppage win for Garcia over Tomas Ornelas. Riley finished Antonio Zepeda in the third round.
The night kicked off with a bang when Art Barrera Jr. knocked out Michael Portales in the first round. The stoppage came at just under two minutes.
