The feud between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney just got a fresh barrel of fuel. A video of an old sparring session between the pair was recently leaked to social media.

In it, Ryan Garcia dominated the action similarly to what he did when he met Devin Haney at the Barclays Center this past April. Early in the 58 second clip, “King Ryan” lands a left hook and rocked Haney.

Later in the clip, Garcia lands combinations while Haney is against the ropes. Haney is forced to tie up and exits after the clinch before the video ends.

The footage looked eerily similar to what happened five months ago. Garcia’s power and speed differential was apparent as the WBC super lightweight champion struggled to find his rhythm.

The left hook in particular proved to be an effective weapon as Ryan Garcia sent “The Dream” to the canvas with it multiple times.

The leaked video is just the latest addition to the interwoven stories of Garcia and Haney. By the time of their April 20 clash, the pair were very familiar with each other. As amateurs, they fought six times with each claiming victory three times.

Garcia was awarded a majority decision win in their aforementioned professional contest. However, his failure to make the 140-pound weight limit kept him from leaving with the belt.

Two months later, the result was changed to a no contest after Garcia tested positive for ostarine. He settled with the New York State Athletic Commission and was fined $1.1 million and issued a year suspension.

The chaotic and contentious build-up to the fight spilled over after the final bell. Beyond their continued jabs at one another, they have continued to find controversy.

Garcia has been arrested, gone on racist tirades, and made bizarre social media posts since. Haney has also caused a stir on social media. He has most recently targeted recently dethroned UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley and promoter Eddie Hearn.

Ryan Garcia will be eligible to compete again next April but is linked to a possible exhibition match in December. Devin Haney is reportedly looking to return soon. Strangely, neither has commented on the footage.
