10. Tyson Fury earns his first pro victory

It all started in 2008 for Tyson Fury from the National Ice Centre in Nottingham, England. That December 6 night, he scored a first-round finish over Bela Gyongyosi in his professional debut. The 20-year-old fought on the undercard of an event headlined by Carl Froch and Jean Pascal.
9. Tyson Fury fends off former UFC champion Francis Ngannou

Maybe he was looking ahead or past Francis Ngannou. But the former UFC champion challenged Fury for 10 rounds back in 2023. The fight took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fury had not fought in almost a year and looked rusty. Yet he was still able to secure the split decision over Ngannou.

8. Tyson Fury becomes British, Commonwealth champion

Fury’s 2011 win over Derek Chisora from Wembley Arena in London, England sparked his surge in the heavyweight division. It was his 15th win in 15 appearances, as he earned the unanimous decision. Tyson Fury left that night as the British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion. The fight was a major success, drawing over 2.9 million viewers in the United Kingdom.

7. Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder battle to legendary draw

In 2018, the boxing world needed a fight to lean on and promote. They received it with Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder for the WBC heavyweight title. Unfortunately, or fortunately considering how much money would be made in the subsequent rematches, the bout went to a draw from Staples Center in Los Angeles. Despite the decision, both men walked out as winners moving forward.

6. Tyson Fury proves drawing power in win over Dillian Whyte

While his team wanted a bout with Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua, Fury was required to take on mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte in 2022. The bout made an incredible amount of money for all involved, as Fury retained with a sixth-round finish. Almost all of the 90,000 tickets were sold within the first three hours of going online, as it ultimately took place in front of a record-breaking crowd of 94,000.
5. Tyson Fury makes his mark in WWE

At his most popular, Fury decided to venture into the world of professional wrestling with the WWE. He would make several appearances, including a bout at WWE Crown Jewel from Saudi Arabia. Fury battled Braun Strowman that night, earning a countout victory over the former WWE champion. He made another appearance in November 2019, this time forming a tag team with Strowman to destroy Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.

4. Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk reignite heavyweight division

While neither bout for Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk went his way, the two put on 24 rounds of classic boxing. Together, they brought eyes back to the heavyweight division and boxing in general. On May 18, 2024, Usyk scored a split decision over Fury, retaining his WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring belts. He also took Fury’s WBC title that night.
3. Tyson Fury wins Deontay Wilder rivalry

In a rematch for the WBC and The Ring heavyweight belts, Fury landed a devastating shot on Deontay Wilder that the challenger would never recover from. Fury earned an 11th-round finish on October 9, 2021, improving to 31-0-1 at the time. The victory cemented his standing at heavyweight and over Wilder, who many believed was the one to dethrone Fury.

2. Tyson Fury TKOs Deontay Wilder

While issues outside the ring would cost Fury his undisputed championship, he would return to the top five years after winning his first major title. On February 22, 2020, Fury finished Deontay Wilder to claim the WBC and The Ring heavyweight belts. While it wasn’t the undisputed title he previously held, it left him regarded by most as the best heavyweight in the world at the time.
1. Tyson Fury becomes undisputed heavyweight champion

The date was November 28, 2015, as Fury stepped inside the ring to challenge Wladimir Klitschko for the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles. Following 12 rounds of back-and-forth action inside the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany, Fury was declared the winner. He would walk out of the arena that night as the undisputed heavyweight champion for the first time in his career.
