Caleb Plant still wants a piece of Jermall Charlo inside the boxing ring.
The beef between Plant and Charlo went from heated words to physicality last year. Backstage following the Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. weigh-ins, Plant slapped Charlo across the face. Plant said it was retaliation, as Charlo kept touching his face.

A bout between Plant and Charlo has yet to materialize despite the drama. In fact, Charlo has yet to step inside the boxing ring since November 2023.
Despite Charlo’s lack of activity, Plant still sees value in a showdown with the former WBC middleweight champion.
Caleb Plant Calls For Jermall Charlo Bout
Caleb Plant recently served as a guest on Power 105.1 FM’s “The Breakfast Club.” On the radio show, Plant recalled the infamous slap to Jermall Charlo. Plant made it clear that he doesn’t get physical outside of the ring unless he is provoked.
“I’ve never retaliated towards somebody who wasn’t putting their hands on me or trying to harass me or something like that,” Plant said.
Plant has also gone back and forth with Edgar Berlanga as of late. As far as “Sweethands” is concerned, either fighter can step up to him for his next bout.
“I think the Berlanga or the Charlo fight makes more sense,” Plant said. “I think it’s more exciting for boxing, more exciting for the fans.”
Plant still has an apatite to try his hand at undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez a second time. If he can defeat Charlo and Berlanga, he thinks he’ll have earned a rematch with Alvarez.
“Charlo, Berlanga, and then the other one after that, and then Canelo,” Plant said. “Any three order, but those three. It can be any order.”
