WWE female superstars have impressed The Undertaker, so he calls for their own Intercontinental Championship and United States Championship.
More: WWE Schedule 2024
10 years ago, the female WWE superstars were treated awful. They got one match a show and it would last about 2 minutes. WWE was more focused on selling sex by having them wrestle in pudding and take-part in swimsuit contests. Thankfully, Stephanie McMahon helped usher in the Divas Revolution which saw Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks (now Mercedes Mone) join the main roster in one segment. Later, Bayley would also be promoted to NXT to the main roster to complete the Four Horsewomen.
Since then, they continue to be better presented. They have fought inside Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber and other common matches, like the Royal Rumble, that their male counterparts have had forever. The only place it seems like WWE went too far was with the titles. We have three singles titles for women and also tag team gold. There was more tag team belts, but WWE began merging them.
A Legend Thinks They Deserve More
With so many talented females on the roster, The Undertaker wants to see more done. On the Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker feels they deserve their won Intercontinental Championship and United States Championship. “The women’s division is really getting good,” said The Undertaker. “You got Jade Cargill; you got Rhea Ripley; you got Charlotte Flair; you’ve got Bayley; you’ve got Naomi. It’s deep. The division [is] deep. I would like to see a Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and possibly, because there’s two brands, a Women’s US Champion. I don’t think you need more than that. You don’t need a TV champion.”
I think brining in more gold will water-down the other belts. We saw WWE attempt this with tag teams and it was a complete failure. Seemingly, the company still needs more depth. Now, if they had a brand just for women, I could see brining in multiple belts. The closest we ever got was the Evolution pay per view from 2018. Personally, I thought it was a great event and idea. So, is The Undertaker onto something with the female superstar deserving an Intercontinental Championship and United States Championship?
