Even before Roman Reigns dropped his gold at WrestleMania 40, fans were expecting a change. We have not seen Reigns since losing last month and he is on a vacation. While away, Paul Heyman was supposed to keep things running smoothly. The opposite has occurred, with Solo Sikoa seemingly taking-over The Bloodline. Tama Tonga debuted about two weeks ago, creating our opening Backlash match. In the end, Solo & Tonga defeated Kevin Owens & Randy Orton in a no disqualification match.

The faces were about to win before Tanga Loa debuted from under the ring. He botched the spot, but not many people even noticed. We figured Jacob Fatu would take that role, but WWE got us. On the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented how Loa’s been under contract for a bit.

Deal Has Been Set For Months

“Tanga Loa’s deal and Tama Tonga’s were actually together,” said Meltzer. “It’s just that [with Tanga Loa], it didn’t get out because New Japan never announced [his contract expiring]. They never gave him a farewell. WWE obviously never announces anything like this, but this is not like something from the last two weeks This deal was decided on months ago.”

Clearly, WWE looks for the stable to grow. Eventually, Reigns is going to return and we might see two groups battle. Until then, look for The Bloodline to keep winning with ease. There is no word on when Reigns might return, but SummerSlam has to be a good option. He carried the company for several years and certainly deserves the time away. So, after hearing about Tanga Loa and details of his WWE contract, do you think The Bloodline angle should stop before becoming stale?
