WWE Raw TV Ratings fall for April 22 episode

wrestling ratings

After a pair of strong weeks of ratings, the April 22 edition of WWE Raw saw another dip in numbers. The episode that saw the return of Gunther and the break up of Imperium’s tag team received stiff competition from the New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets NBA Playoffs games.

That’s why the latest edition of the show had ratings down 12% to 1.597 million average viewers. Last week scored 1.8 million, which was a drop of 25% from the highs of the Raw after Wrestlemania edition of the long-running series. This week’s episode also saw the crowning of a new Women’s World Champion when WWE legend Becky Lynch was victorious in a 14-woman battle royale.

WWE NXT TV Ratings for April 23 episode

The NXT ratings for the April 23 edition of the show saw a solid uptick as more fans tuned in for the episode that featured a title match between reigning champ Ilia Dragunov and Trick Williams. The April 23 show scored 661,000 viewers, which was up 6% from the previous week’s number of 625,000.

The latest edition of NXT delivered its best number since January.

The first episode of Smackdown in the “New Era” of WWE following Wrestlemania 40 did not receive a bump in numbers, however, the Fox-based show has long been the more watched of the two flagship WWE shows. The April 12 edition of Smackdown reportedly pulled in 2.35 million average viewers for the two-hour show that featured a growing divide in the Bloodline and the debut of NJPW veteran Tama Tonga.

AEW Dynamite TV Ratings for April 24 episode

wrestling ratings
AEW

Despite a major moment occurring to end the April 24 edition of the series, this week’s AEW Dynamite ratings again dropped. Wednesday’s show delivered just 683,000 average viewers. The number is nearly 100,000 less than last week’s 762,000 average and just slightly better than this week’s NXT TV ratings.

Wednesday’s Dynamite delivered a shocking moment as Jack Perry was reinstated by AEW boss Tony Khan, but the co-founder of the company was then attacked by Perry and new cronies The Elite — the Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada.

It is a terrible number for the company after a slew of major free agent signings and is sadly Dynamite’s lowest viewership rating since Jan. 6, 2021.

AEW Collision TV Ratings

For quite some time AEW Collision has been the less watched of the two main AEW weekly broadcasts. The April 13 edition of the show did not see any major change and ratings for this week’s episode actually decreased. Saturday’s edition of Collision reportedly earned just 442,000 average viewers. This is down just over 20,000 from last week’s wrestling ratings number of 462,000.
