Mike Tyson Shockingly Returns To Boxing For Netflix Fight Vs. Jake Paul

Jake Paul promised something big for his next fight.

And it appears as if the YouTuber-turned-boxer has delivered.

Paul posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he will meet legendary boxing icon and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson later this year.

The bout will take place from AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, in Arlington, Texas. Plans are for it to air live on Netflix on Saturday, July 20.

“Promotion promotion promotion,” Paul posted. “If I’m being honest it don’t need that. The biggest fight of the 21st century, in the biggest NFL stadium in U.S., broadcast live, on the biggest streaming platform in the world.

“That’s the MVP way.”

Under his Most Valuable Promotions banner, Paul and Tyson will collide. Further details on the fight have yet to be announced.

Tyson also confirmed the fight, posting “We signed the contract.”

For Paul, he is looking at this opportunity as a way to prove himself. Since turning pro, he has scored wins over the likes of Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley and Nate Diaz.

Most recently, Paul finished Ryan Bourland to improve to 9-1 with a first round TKO.

“Whether you’re turning in on Netflix or showing out in person,” Paul wrote. “Whether you’re Team Paul or Team Tyson, or whether you’re a lifelong boxing fan or watching your first fight, you’re not going to want to miss this event.

“I could not be more excited to make this amazing fight available to all Netflix subscribers alongside the hardest hitter of all time, Mike Tyson.”

The 57-year-old Tyson last fought in 2005 at 38 years old, losing to Kevin McBride. He has remained in the public eye through appearances in movies, television and interviews.

“Time to put Iron Mike to sleep,” Paul wrote.

In the hours after the fight was confirmed, betting odds came in. BetUS.com lists Paul as a -300 favorite, with Tyson checking in as a +225 underdog.
