A few weeks ago when All Elite Wrestling head Tony Khan announced a ‘Big Business’ themed show in ‘BOSSton,’ it wasn’t hard to read between the lines.

Mercedes Mone was going to make her AEW debut that night.

And, she certainly made a mark when she showed up tonight.

The show opened with Renee Paquette announcing and it didn’t take long a Mercedes to pull up and a door to open.

But the audience didn’t see who it was yet.

Then there were LOUD chants of “C-E-O, C-E-O!”

And then Mercedes Mone finally arrived!

BO$$TON!

Mone said she was glad to be home, as in her hometown of Boston, and also at home in AEW.

she said that she is in AEW to make a big impact and couldn’t wait to get her hands on the entire roster of women in the back.

She also said she had unfinished business with Willow, who defeated her for her world title in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

In the main event of Willow vs. Riho, Willow got a clean victory, the lights went out and Julia Hart and Skye Blue attack the winner.

Mercedes Mone comes out to save Willow, who in turn raises Mone’s hand.

The show goes off the air with tight camera shots on Mercedes as she greets and hugs her adoring fans.

The CEO is BACK

She’s definitely back in a big way. This addition to the AEW roster is considered a big win for the company and build up to their “Big Business” Dynamite on Wednesday did not disappoint.

Much like CM Punk’s big debut in Chicago with AEW, she was allowed to kick off the show and say her peace with no run-ins.

There will obviously be plenty of time for that.

After a stint with New Japan Wrestling, Mone’s AEW debut is the first time she’s performed for a major U.S.-based pro wrestling promotion since she left the WWE in 2022.

Ever since that time, fans have speculated about her coming into AEW or even going back to WWE, where she did reportedly have talks.

But AEW won out in the end, giving the self-described “challenger brand” another big star on their roster.

So, did the Mercedes Mone AEW debut deliver or was it too obvious?
