As WrestleMania 40 nears, we are learning of a John Cena update when it comes to him being part of the biggest wrestling show of the year.
John Cena WrestleMania 40 Update
When Hollywood went on Strike, WWE struck gold. It allowed for John Cena and The Rock to make several appearances for the company.
Eventually, Cena went back as the strike ended. The Rock did the same, but has returned to WWE TV after joining the TKO Board.
Last we saw Cena, it was at Crown Jewel 2023 against Solo Sikoa. Cena lost after taking dozens of strikes.
With WrestleMania 40 not far away, fans are wondering if Cena will work the Philly show. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted how a match seems doubtful as he prepare for season two of Peacemaker, but a cameo could work.

“It’s basically up to his acting schedule and if there is something going on,” the report noted. “If there is, he may appear.”
“But, [he] couldn’t do anything that would be deemed a risk. We were told that if he does appear, the idea is to do something fun, short and memorable and with substance”
We are seeing a pattern of less Cena each year. He works about one or two matches a year.
For me, the best storyline would be Cena retires if he loses another singles match. Remember, he has not won a singles contest in like five years.
While we wait to see if Cena returns, do catch the first season of Peacemaker. It is not the typical superhero TV series.
I actually think that TV show is what will make Cena a megastar in Hollywood.
So, any interest in John Cena working, or at least appearing, at WWE WrestleMania 40?
