We have seen countless bouts over the years, but a first of its kind match has been pitched for WWE WrestleMania 40.

WrestleMania 40 is starting to take shape, with several top names being booked. Unlike previous years, a few wrestlers will be working both nights. Big E was the first to propose all the larger athletes compete in one match. Since then, Bronson Reed, Otis and Ivar all chimed-in to show interest. As you can see, the Meaty Invitational is gaining steam.

Who Gets Credit?

At the moment, none of the names listed are scheduled for WrestleMania. Of course, that can change any moment with a simple announcement.

Big E remains on the sidelines with a broken neck. There is a decent chance his in-ring career is over. Otis outlasted many during the pandemic, which was a time WWE released stacks of names. His popularity remains high as past of Alpha Academy. Reed was let go by WWE, but Triple H brought him back. He missed the Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania would be another major loss.

The more I think about it, the idea of a Meaty Invitational is somewhat new. Yes, WWE has produced basically every type of match imaginable and creating something new is rather difficult. Still, I could see this being a yearly tradition and the first match could be part of WrestleMania 40.
