It’s another SmackDown In A Nutshell, and this time around it’s all about a mad dash to next weekend’s Elimination Chamber.

Specifically meaning…WWE did a double taping tonight, because from the United States to Australia is a really long flight, and the Superstars are leaving soon.

We have some remaining Elimination Chamber qualifiers to be set up, for both men and women.

Also, will we finally know where Bron Breakker signs? Makes sense we would now, since he JUST won the NXT tag titles with Baron Corbin.

Plus, you know, just The Rock and Roman Reigns on SmackDown. Nothing big there at all.

And as always, you can find all past SmackDown results here.

So in the interest of time…let’s dive into…

SmackDown In A Nutshell: Mad Dash To Elimination Chamber

Time to crack this open and enjoy!

Best Match of the night:

I have to go with Logan Paul and The Miz here.

Miz lost, sure, but he looked perfectly fine in there. He belonged.

And Logan Paul? I don’t expect him to win the Chamber, but he should be good for a spot or three.

Worst match of the night:

AOP got to squash some jobbers.

I mean, it is perfectly fine to have guys like them squashing people. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be bad.

Crowd Chants of the Night:

Lots of chants for Cody and The Rock.

Star of the Night

Well, the Bloodline was put on display, front and center.

It did not do much other than officially put The Rock in the group.

Certainly made them get more heat too.

Spot of the Night:

Nothing worth calling out.

Jobber of the Night:

Javier Bernal and his buddy got destroyed by the Authors of Pain. They win.

Upset of the Night:

I would say it was a tiny surprise that Tiffany Stratton went into the chamber.

Not a huge one. Zelina Vega would have been a deserving winner, but Stratton is on a fast track.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

Perhaps the official blue brand signing of Bron Breakker?

Or, maybe AJ Styles basically breaking up with the OC.

Which, that one is kind of a bummer. As vaunted as Gallows and Anderson have been outside WWE…inside the company, they’ve been a bust.

Botch of the night:

Folks, if there was one, this guy missed it.

LOL Moment of the night:

R-Truth wasn’t quite as good as usual, but he was still good.

Tyler Bate seemed goofy tonight, though probably unintentionally so.

Noteworthy Moment:

Bate giving his team a new name-New Catch Republic.

Gallows, Anderson and Michin no longer have AJ Styles running with them.

Overall lowlights:

As much as I like Kevin Owen winning a spot…I think many would have agreed that Dom Mysterio might have been a good choice to give him the big rub.

Overall highlights:

Basically, for the last live SmackDown before the mad dash to the Elimination Chamber, this did the trick.

We saw a couple Superstars in both the men and women punch their tickets to Australia.

The Bloodline got to entertain, be quite heelish and leave.

From open to close, it was a good show.

After the final bell:

Next week’s show is taped, so we should get spoilers soon enough. A few matches have been announced already.

The one I may be most excited for is the main roster debut of Bron Breakker.
