At Tuesday night’s NXT taping, WWE wrestler Shotzi suffers a nasty injury and early signs indicate she could miss major time.
The injury happened during a taping on February 13.
NXT was taping back to back shows, as some of the production team will be heading to Perth for this year’s Elimination Chamber.
And Shotzi was making a cameo from her usual haunts. It was for an exceptionally good reason, as she was slated to work against NXT Champion Lyra Valkyria.
Sadly, things did not go as planned.
Shotzi Suffers Nasty Injury At NXT And May Miss Major Time
Fightful reported on Tuesday evening that Shotzi went for a move and in the midst of it all, suffered an injury. It is suspected to be a knee injury.
The report worked to quickly clarify things.
First, it was confirmed this was not a work, as sometimes is the case. Shotzi’s injury is 100% real, unfortunately.
The word coming out was that it was feared to be a significant injury. The popular Superstar was said to be in a major amount of pain.
Then, WWE staff whisked her away for an immediate medical evaluation. Thus far, nothing else has been officially confirmed or revealed.
Hence, we are expecting the worst possible news. If that is indeed the case, this could mean yet another WWE Superstar on the shelf with a major knee injury.
If that is the case for her, we probably won’t see her, on the 2024 WWE Schedule. There would be a realistic shot at a return for the Royal Rumble in 2025, if all goes well.
Of course, best case would be finding out that it looked worse than it was, but that is not the current opinion.
