The wrestling world is still reeling over the recent lawsuit against Vince McMahon alleging the sexual exploitation of a former WWE employee. Legend Mick Foley recently commented on the situation.

Mick Foley Comments On Vince McMahon Allegations

Former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit in late January against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and the WWE. The suit claims that McMahon and Laurinaitis sexually abused her and accuses them of sex trafficking her.

Since then, VKM has issued a statement denying these claims. He resigned from his position at the WWE and is no longer a part of TKO Group Holdings.

In addition, Laurinaitis’s legal team has issued a statement noting that their client was a victim in this case, as well. Some within the industry have stepped forward and commented on the situation.

Even Laurinaitis’s stepdaughters, The Bella Twins (who now go by their real names, Brie and Nikki Garcia), issued a statement on social media. WWE Hall of Famer, Mick Foley, recently addressed the accusations during his Foley Is Pod, podcast.

He compares his feelings about McMahon to a tragedy that rocked the industry back in 2007. More on this, below.

Mick Foley’s Perspective

He goes on to say that he doesn’t know all the facts, but it’s “really” ugly. Foley adds that he has a similar “dead-inside” feeling like in 2007 when news hit about the Chris Benoit murders.

Mick notes that he hopes these allegations don’t take away from fans incredible memories that VKM helped create in the WWE, including Foley’s characters and the storylines he was in. He notes that he (McMahon) was a big part of those things.

Foley states that he wishes VKM had stepped aside the first time that little hints of these allegations popped up. Mick also talks about RAINN.org, a not-for-profit hotline that implemented an anonymous chatroom for survivors.

Foley volunteered at the organization for two years and praised the work they do. He encourages the audience to reach out to RAINN.org if needed, where you can talk to a trained volunteer and others who may be in the same situation you are in.
