Adam Copeland and Christian Cage have been feuding for months, with most thinking a TLC match will be the final chapter. So, is that true?
AEW Trying To Book Adam Copeland Vs Christian Cage In TLC?
In pro wrestling, it is tough to create a gimmick match that last for decades. We have seen success with the Royal Rumble, Hell In A Cell and Elimination Chamber.
Other times, not such much like with a Punjabi Prison Match or Hog Pen Match.
About 13 years ago, WWE stumbled upon the Tables, Ladders and Chair Match It is best known under his shortened name, TLC.
That match is synonymous with Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz and The Dudleyz.
Fast-forward to today and AEW. Edge and Christian work there, but under the names Adam Copeland and Christian Cage.
They have traded wins and verbal remarks. At some point, the two will need to finish their angle.
Many think a TLC is the perfect endgame. Well, Copeland has no interest in that ever again.
While speaking to Alex Nino Ghecciu of the Lethbridge Herald, Copeland went over his reasoning.
“People say [they want to see it], but no,” said Copeland. “Actually, stop and think about it for a second.”
“We were in our early 20s when we did those matches. We’re in our 50s now.”
“Leave it in a very good place in memory, and let us do what we do now, which is tell better stories.”
Considering their age and fragile bodies, avoiding tables, ladders and chairs is best for both parties. AEW will just need another match to conclude the feud.
At this point, they know this is the end and are simply enjoying one more run together.
So, does anyone in AEW really want to see Adam Copeland vs Christian Cage in a TLC Match?
