Each and every year, we always get this match dissected by the numbers…and on Saturday, a pair of Superstars make history in the 2024 Royal Rumble.
Specifically, this would be the women’s Royal Rumble match.
And the Superstars involved could not have entered at more different ends of the match.
Natalya was the first woman out for this year’s Rumble.
Liv Morgan was the very last woman out for the match.
And by simply showing up and getting into the match, that is how each Superstar got to make history in 2024.
Superstars Make History In 2024 Royal Rumble
And, in the 37 year history of the Rumble, this one deserves a bit of clarity.
The 2024 bout was the seventh ever for the women. It took WWE way too long to get it done, but here we are.
However, the men have had 37 chances to make memories.
And one legendary Superstar had a record that up until Saturday night had not been surpassed in the company.
Tito Santana, also sometimes called El Matador, set the mark. He had been the only Superstar to appear in the first six Rumbles consecutively.
And by participating in the 2024 edition of the staple premium live event, both women have now set a bit of history of their own.
Plenty of women have been in plenty of Rumbles, but only these two can say they’ve been in each and every one.
Of course, both Liv Morgan and Natalya would have rather won the match versus making that bit of history…but there is always next year.
As a nice little footnote, the fact that Morgan returned and came in at number 30 leads me to believe she has no lingering issues from her arrest last year.
