Former champion Rose Namajunas is slated to return to the Octagon in early 2024.
Namajunas will headline UFC Fight Night 240 on March 23 opposite Amanda Ribas. The flyweight bout is expected to serve as the main event according to MMA Fighting.
Following an extended run at strawweight that included two championship victories, Namajunas moved up to 125 pounds. She suffered a decision loss to Manon Fiorot in Paris in her debut.
Overall, the veteran is 11-6 and looking to snap a two-fight losing skid when she stands across the Octagon from Ribas.
Ribas, who also competed at 115 pounds previously, is 12-4 overall with wins vs. Viviane Araujo and Paige VanZant. She is coming off a loss to Luana Pinheiro via TKO this past November.

Along with Namajunas and Ribas, several other fights have been tabbed for the event from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Kurt Holobaugh, a former winner of The Ultimate Fighter, will tangle with Trey Ogden in a lightweight affair. Ricardo Ramas is set to meet Julian Erosa and Davey Grant will meet Cody Gibson.
Other bouts announced include Steven Nguyen vs. Jarno Errens, Luis Pajuelo vs. Fernando Padilla, Stephanie Luciano vs. Shauna Bannon and Montserrat Rendon vs. Darya Zheleznykova.
