Charlotte Flair has been pulled from WWE events, but apparently she was going to pursue the Women’s Tag Team Championship before the setback.
Charlotte Flair To Win WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship?
Heading into Survivor Series, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair and Shotzi were one team. They left WarGames the victors against Damage CTRL.
Since then, we have seen Damage CTRL showing cracks, with Bayley seemingly on the outs. As for the faces, they have already gone their separate ways.
Although, Charlotte Flair has been removed from all WWE shows and events. This comes after she was seemingly injured last week during a SmackDown match with Asuka.
Currently, there is no word if Charlotte is actually injured or when she might return. She was seen telling the referee several times about something being wrong with her knee.
What Is CM Punk’s End Game With WWE NXT?
Speaking on WWE Deutschland, Shotzi revealed plans for her to team with Charlotte. In fact, they were supposed to pursue the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
“I was watching her stuff before I got to WWE and I’ve always strived to be like Charlotte [Flair] and her hard work,” said Shotzi. “Charlotte and I were talking about possibly going for the tag titles.”
“Like, we got matching gear made, you know. We really wanted it; we wanted it for sure.”
As of now, there remains no word on what is next for Charlotte. When WWE or the wrestler do not comment right away, it means further testing is likely.
WrestleMania 40 Is Not Far Away
WrestleMania season is almost here, so WWE wants to have Charlotte Flair back soon. Fans might not feel the same as they are tired of her winning all the gold.
Shotzi is still chasing her first WWE Championship. She was briefly the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion with Ember Moon over two years ago.
If WWE is going to put tag gold on Charlotte, at least Shotzi would also get the spotlight.
