According to a report, the WWE is quite close to expanding within the world of sports by inking a big deal with the Big 12 Conference. More on this story, below.
WWE & Big 12 Conference Set To Sign A BIG Deal
This past August, the wrestling company recently inked a multi-year licensing agreement with the National Football League. As per the agreement, the promotion is set to produce NFL-inspired legacy WWE championship belts.
The titles showcase the official branding and colors of all 32 National Football League teams and are available on NFLShop.com, Fanatics.com, as well as the wrestling company’s store website. This is a major thing for Vince McMahon’s company, as it marks the first licensing contract between the two organizations.
Still, it looks like the wrestling promotion wants more. They are on the cusp of replicating this NFL agreement on a collegiate level. WrestleVotes, a wrestling spoilers handle on X (formerly known as Twitter) known for its accuracy recently reported that North America’s top pro wrestling company and Conference are close to inking a massive contract.
According to the WrestleVotes report, the two organizations are coming close to an agreement that would see the wrestling company create Conference licensed merchandise. The timing is perfect with the college football bowl starting up in a few weeks, come December.
This could also produce other conference opportunities like Big Ten and SEC. Only time will tell how far this could reach.

It’s important to note that Big 12 is set to lose its top two biggest schools next year to the SEC in Texas and Oklahoma. With that being said, they’ll still have major schools like Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and Kansas.
Interestingly enough, during a recent TKO earnings call, Ari Emanuel did say that the company was open to more possible sponsorships. This also includes the potential of having sponsors appear on the ring mat during their premium live events (PLE).
