AEW stars Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo hopped on social media recently to announce a major milestone, the birth of their first child. More on this story, below.
Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo’s Growing Family
The AEW couple first announced they were pregnant this past May. Approximately a month after that, they revealed they were having a baby girl via a social media post that showed Guevara’s reaction to the news.
Yesterday, the AEW stars provided an update, announcing the birth of their firstborn child. Luna Melo Guevara was born on November 28th, coming in at 8.4 pounds, after 24+ hours of labor.
The family looks to be doing well with their newest edition. Mom wrestled her last match at some indie shows in March of this year, with her most recent AEW appearances (in-ring) taking place in January of this year.
As for Luna’s dad, he was a part of the October AEW WrestleDream. According to reports, he suffered a concussion and has yet to return to action.
It’s been a crazy year for him in AEW storylines. He cut ties with mentor Chris Jericho and hopped over the Don Callis family.
He had a match at AEW Grand Slam with Jericho, where Chris came out on top. They also faced off at the above WrestleDream event where he suffered a concussion and depending on when he returns, the feud will likely resume.
With that said, it’s unclear when he’ll return to action, exactly. Not only does he have an injury to recover from, but a new baby to help him get settled in.
