After a questionable “last match” in 2022, followed by some notable comments, Ric Flair clears up his wrestling future.

Flair, a man who may have retired more times than even the late Terry Funk, had a farewell match last summer, working alongside his son-in-law.

Given his age and shape, it went about as well as you could have expected, with Flair appearing to have some issues during it.

However, for all that craziness, it was what he said after that had people buzzing.

Specifically, some post-match comments had him saying that he felt great and could wrestle again.

Or, might still wrestle again.

And now, over a year after those comments, The Nature Boy discusses those words, and provides a bit of sanity.

PWInsider ran an interview with the Hall of Famer, and one part of the questioning got right to the point.

Specifically, does he really want to wrestle again, as he said?

And, he shut it down really quickly.

Per the legend, he never meant that he would wrestle again. He just said that he felt good enough that he actually thought he could.

But, that match was billed as a farewell match, and based on what he said in the interview, that will indeed be his final wrestling match.

Anyone who caught even the highlights of that special attraction match is probably saying “duh”, because while Flair might feel good enough to go again…he did not look the part.

More importantly, at his age, why should he bother? There is nothing left to be done by him in any ring, anywhere.

Though, to be frank, in some realm I am semi-surprised that we haven’t seen the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia press WWE to bring Flair in for Crown Jewel or something.

I mean, they have brought back some really over the hill talents, and we’ve suffered through a couple matches…so how would Ric Flair be much different?
