Bellator 300 Results: Finishes Highlight Epic Event

Bellator

Bellator 300 brought with it a special evening, as the promotion honored the past while looking towards an unknown future. While rumors continue to float around about a pending sale, Bellator went ahead with three title live on Showtime. Now, let us get to the result of Bellator 300.

Bellator 300 Results: Usman Nurmagomedov Prevails

Usman Nurmagomedov just continues to pick the lightweight division apart.

Nurmagomedov dominated Brent Primus in the main event of Bellator 300 Saturday night live on Showtime from the Pechanga Resort in San Diego.

With the win, Nurmagomedov defended his lightweight title and advanced to the finals of the Bellator Lightweight World Grand Prix. He swept all three scorecards and all five rounds of action vs. Primus.

The other two title fights ended with impressive performances by the reigning champions, as Cris Cyborg and Liz Carmouche successfully defended.

Cyborg stopped Cat Zingano in the first round of their featherweight title fight, ending the bout and earning another name to her resume. Carmouche, meanwhile, topped friend Ilima-Lei Macfarlane to walk out of the cage with her flyweight title after delivering leg kicks in the fifth round.

The card was scheduled to feature a fourth title fight between heavyweight champion Ryan Bader and Linton Vassell, but that bout was scratched earlier this week due to Vassell pulling out.

Bellator 300 Results: Sara McMann Falls On Prelims

A slew of prelim bouts took place, including a women’s featherweight affair between Leah McCourt and former UFC title challenger Sara McMann.

Late in the first round, McCourt connected, scoring the finish with elbows and strikes.

Kai Kamaka III bested Henry Corrales via split decision in the featherweight division, while a leg injury resulted in a first round TKO for Slim Trabelsi vs. Davion Franklin.

Grant Neal downed Romero Cotton via decision and Josh Hokit submitted Spencer Smith.

The promotion will be off until just before Thanksgiving, as Bellator 301 is set for November 17 from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. In the main event, Yaroslav Amosov defends his welterweight title against Jason Jackson.
