PFL 10: Previewing Olivier Aubin-Mercier Vs. Clay Collard

One of the six planned championship matches at PFL 10 in November will see reigning season winner Olivier Aubin-Mercier square off against Clay Collard.

The battle of former UFC fighters takes place November 24 from The Anthem in Washington, D.C. The main card will air live on ESPN and stream on ESPN+ with prelims also streaming live on ESPN Networks.

Along with Aubin-Mercier taking on Collard, Magomed Magomedokerimov meets Sadibou Sy, Jesus Pinedo battle Gabriel Alves Braga, Josh Silveira tangles with Impa Kasanganay, Renen Ferreira faces Denis Goltsov and Larissa Pacheco goes up against Marina Mokhnatkina.

As the event approaches, we will break down each of the six championship matches, with all six winners not only receiving the season title, but $1 million for their performance.

PFL 10: Olivier Aubin-Mercier Looking To Defend His Title

It has been nothing but perfection for Aubin-Mercier since leaving the UFC and signing on with PFL in 2021.

He started off his run in the promotion with a decision over Marcin Held and has yet to lose since, scoring the 2022 season title with a knockout of Stevie Ray last year in New York City.

Aubin-Mercier had plenty of success while he was in the UFC, scoring four consecutive wins from 2016-18. He also reached the finals of The Ultimate Fighter series before falling to Chad Laprise by split decision in 2014.

He showed off plenty of his skills early on, winning seven of eight at one point after starting his career 4-0.

PFL, though, has allowed Aubin-Mercier to really shine. He reeled off wins over former champions Natan Schulte and Raush Manfio during the 2022 season, starting off 2023 even better. That came with a decision win over Shane Burgos, followed by finishes of both Anthony Romero and Bruno Miranda in the semifinals.

PFL 10: Clay Collard More Than Just A Former Boxer

During COVID, Collard took on boxing, making a name for himself with five wins in 2020 before coming up short to Quincy LaVallais. His move to the squared circle appeared to reinvent Collard, as he signed with PFL in 2021.

In his promotional debut, he upset former UFC and WEC champion Anthony Pettis, who many viewed as the future of the division in the PFL. From there, he topped Joilton Lutterbach before coming up short in the semifinals vs. Manfio.

Collard finished off his busy 2022 with a win over Jeremy Stephens and a loss to Alexander Martinez via split decision, just missing out on advancing.

He would make sure the same did not happen his year, running through both Yamato Nishikawa and Ray to reach the semis where he downed Burgos by decision to advance to his first championship match.

Like his opponent, Collard spent time in the UFC, battling former champion Max Holloway for almost three rounds before coming up short in 2014.
