PFL 10 Preview: Looking Ahead To Featherweight Final

PFL

PFL 10 will feature the culmination of the 2023 season for the promotion, as PFL Championship takes place in November. Among the title fights scheduled for the night will be the featherweight finale between Jesus Pinedo and Gabriel Alves Braga.

PFL 10: Previewing The Featherweight Finale

Six championship matches and plenty more are on the docket for PFL 10, as the promotion concludes the 2023 season.

Set for November 24 from The Anthem in Washington, D.C., PFL Championship will air live on ESPN Networks.

Olivier Aubin-Mercier seeks a second title when he faces Clay Collard in one of those bouts, while Magomed Magomedkerimov and Sadibou Sy meet in a battle of former champions.

Josh Silveira vs. Impa Kasanganay, Renan Ferreira vs. Denis Goltsov and Larissa Pacheco vs. Marina Mokhnatkina are the other bouts.

This preview is for the featherweight finale between Jesus Pinedo and Gabriel Alves Braga.

Other announced non-championship matches include Kayla Harrison vs. Julia Budd, Biaggio Ali Walsh in action and Bubba Jenkins vs. Chris Wade.

PFL 10: Jesus Pinedo

Pinedo, who trains out of Pitbull Martial Arts Center, is a 27-year-old riding plenty of momentum. He knocked out and knocked off Bubba Jenkins in the semifinals to reach this point after scoring a first round finish of Brendan Loughnane earlier in the year.

The start of his 2023 season resulted in a loss via split decision to the fighter he will see this November in Braga.

Overall, Pinedo is 2-1 with the PFL, 1-1 with the UFC and 22-6-1 in his career. He is 6-1 over his last seven fights and faced John Makdessi and Devin Powell while signed to the UFC.

PFL 10: Gabriel Alves Braga

Sporting a perfect record at 12-0 and holding a win over Pinedo by split decision, the Tropa Tha-trained Braga should be feeling good about himself entering the SmartCage with a chance to win not only a title, but $1 million.

In the semifinals, Braga downed Chris Wade by split decision to reach this round after also posting a three wins over Marlon Moraes, Pinedo and Ago Huskic since March.

He made his debut with the promotion on the Challenger Series with his decision win over Huskic.

Five of his dozen career wins have been by knockout or TKO with the rest going to the scorecards.
