Combate Global Fight Card Set For Saturday
Promising prospects are set for action this Saturday night at Combate Global live on Paramount+. The event takes place from Miami with Jimmy Smith and Rodolfo Roman serving as hosts beginning with a pre-show at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The action kicks off 30 minutes later.
“Since we launched Combate Global, the organization has prided itself on identifying great, new athletes and bringing them up from the beginning of their respective professional careers, so we wanted to dedicate one of our events this year to showcasing some of the best new fighters that we have recently discovered,” said Combate Global CEO Campbell McLaren.
In the main event, former two-time amateur champion Henry Beltran takes on former collegiate wrestling standout Anthony Jagel.
Beltran, a native of Arizona, will be fighting for the first time this year after making his promotional debut in October. He finished Javier Valdebenito with a head kick in the first round of that contest.
Jagel went 5-0 as an amateur after competing for Notre Dame College at the NCAA Div. II wrestling level.
Nikol Aguirre and Valentina Palma Meyer are set for a women’s bantamweight battle. Aguirre made his pro debut with the promotion this past March, earning herself a second round TKO.
Meyer, who went 9-1 as an amateur fighter in kickboxing, will be seeking her first promotional win.
Cruz Garcia takes on Jose Ignacio Gomez, Pablo Ramos squares off with Royce Butler and Alfredo Garcia fights Chris Quiroz in other main card Combate Global action.
