Welcome to the latest UFC results, as the Octagon set up shop from Singapore and the Singapore Indoor Stadium. In the main event, former UFC champion Max Holloway faced off against Chan Sung Jung, better known as “The Korean Zombie.” All of the action aired live on ESPN+ from Kallang. UFC Results: Max Holloway Finishes Off The Korean Zombie
Former UFC champion Max Holloway made headlines from Kallang, Singapore and the Singapore Indoor Stadium Saturday. Holloway finished Chan Sung Jung in the third round of the main event at UFC Fight Night 225 live on ESPN+.
Holloway, fighting for his fire-devasted Hawaiian family, moved to 25-7 with is 11th career win by knockout. He has reeled off back-to-back victories since falling to Alexander Volkanovski in 2022 for the featherweight crown.
Jung, better known to fight fans around the world as “The Korean Zombie,” suffered his second consecutive loss by knockout. He was also finished at the hands of Volkanovski for the title last year.
Following the fight, Jung announced his retirement from MMA.
In the co-main event, Anthony Smith scored a split decision over Ryan Spann. Smith snapped a two-fight losing skid with the win, which marked the 37th of his career.
UFC Results: Decisions Fill The Main Card
Three of the other four main card bouts went to the scorecards, as only the opener between Junior Tafa and Parker Porter ended early.
Tafa knocked out Porter in the first round of their heavyweight fight.
Erin Blanchfield, Rinya Nakamura and Giga Chikadze all were winners by decision. Blanchfield bested Taila Santos, Nakamura downed Fernie Garcia and Chikadze topped Alex Caceres.
UFC Results: Prelims Feature The FInishes
The prelims were where the finishes came, as five of the seven ended early, including four in the first round.
Waldo Cortes-Acosta, Garrett Armfield, Michel Oleksiejczuk, Billy Goff and JJ Aldrich were all winners by strikes. Song Kenan and Choi Seung-woo won by decisions.
Holloway and Jung were named “Fight of the Night” with Tafa and Oleksiejczuk picking up “Performance of the Night” bonuses.
The UFC remains overseas, this time moving to France for UFC On ESPN+ 84 from the Accor Arena in Paris. In the main event, Ciryl Gane takes on Sergey Spivak.
The card also features Manon Fiorot taking on former champion Rose Namajunas, Benoit Saint-Denis meeting Thiago Moises and Volkan Oezdemir battling Bogdan Guskov.
This will be just the second event in France, with the first taking place last year.
