Nate Diaz Seeks Rematch ‘In Any Art’ With Jake Paul

Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz offered some respect – in his own Diaz way – towards Jake Paul after they squared off Saturday night inside a boxing ring. But the former UFC title contender now wants to face Paul in a different style of combat sports. And he isn’t being particular about which one.

Nate Diaz Wants Jake Paul Again Away From Boxing

On Saturday night, Nate Diaz made his professional boxing debut. The former UFC title contender fell to Jake Paul via decision, recovering from a knockdown to really push the YouTuber-turned-fighter to the distance.

Now, though, Diaz wants another crack at Paul – and he wants it in a different form of combat sports.

“They said they wanted to do the PFL thing, and I think that if we want to do that, we’re going to have to co-promote and do Real Fight vs. PFL,” Diaz said (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “I’m with that. But my goal is to get a rematch in any art.”

Earlier this year, Paul signed with PFL as part of the PFL Super Fight Series. He has yet to compete for the promotion, but is expected to do so as soon as things come together.

“We’re going to see what happens with him, see if he really wants to do that,” Diaz said. “If not, I’ll be back in this hunting him down too. Either way is fine with me.”

The two had several good exchanges, and the entire card drew strong praise as it was co-promoted by both Diaz and Paul.

“Right now, we’re going to go home and we’re going to talk about it and we’re going to figure out whether we want to do MMA or boxing,” Diaz said. “Then we’ll see what they want to do.”
