Current WWE superstar Logan Paul has officially made a challenge for his UFC debut. Paul wants to face Paddy Pimblett on the proposed Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg event.
Logan Paul Challenges UFC Fighter For His Debut
In a short amount of time, Logan Paul has established himself in the WWE ring. Now, the social media sensation wants to try his hand at the UFC Octagon.
Paul issued a challenge to UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett for a bout on the proposed Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg event.
UFC president Dana White has started he would work to promote an event if Musk and Zuckerberg want to settle their differences inside the cage.
“I’ll be honest, I pitched it,” Paul said (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “I pitched it internally. I pitched it to the (executives) that be if Elon Musk and Zuckerberg fight, I will do my UFC debut on the undercard.
“I’ll fight for free; for charity.”
Paul made those comments on his Impaulisve podcast.
Musk has recently been pictured training with former UFC champion Georges St-Pierre, while Zuckerberg has worked with a PFL fighter and famed instructor Dave Camarillo.
Why Elon Musk-Mark Zuckerberg Are Feuding
The rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg grew out of the two owning social medial platforms Twitter and Meta (Facebook). Meta is set to launch a new channel that will rival Twitter, which Musk purchased recently for $44 billion.
Paul would prefer to face Andrew Tate, he said, but would accept Pimblett as an opponent.
“That boy looks like a blimp and he’ll come up to my weight class and I’ll wallop him,” Paul said. “He’s too small when he cuts weight.”
Paul competed at just under 190 pounds back in 2021 when he faced former boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition.
The interesting connection to all of this is the recent merger between WWE and UFC under Endeavor. One would have to believe that putting a fighter signed to the WWE roster inside the UFC’s Octagon might be an easier sell now.
“They’re going to need to stack the undercard,” Paul said of the proposed fight card. “That’s why I’m throwing my hat in because being honest, it’s going to be pathetic (Musk vs. Zuckerberg). Highly entertaining, but come on.”
