Conor McGregor Reacts To Justin Gaethje’s UFC 291 Win

Justin Gaethje avenged a previous loss at UFC 291, and now has the chance to really make an impact on the promotion and his career.

Just moments after Gaethje delivered a head-kick knockout of Dustin Poirier for the “BMF” title in Salt Lake City, Utah, Conor McGregor reacted.

McGregor, who caught the fight, is scheduled to meet Michael Chandler when he returns to the Octagon. The two have been coaching on the newest season of The Ultimate FIghter.

Chandler, though, might have to take a backseat to “Notorious” if the former champion has his way.

“Justin I’ll slap you around,” McGregor posted on Twitter. “I’m the real bmf, he can fight for pennies if he wants but I want spirits, I call the shots, I’m in it to launch shots, fuck chandler, you want it call for it.”

The recently-turned 35-year-old McGregor owns some of the biggest UFC event draws in promotion history. However, he is just 1-3 over his last four fights, including a 2021 loss to Poirier in which he suffered a nasty leg injury.
