Former UFC champion Conor McGregor made headlines recently for injuring a mascot during the NBA Finals. Now, “Notorious” is coming under fire for even more serious claims, as he is being accused of sexual assault.
Conor McGregor Accused Of Sexual Assault During NBA Finals
Former UFC champion and current Ultimate Fighter coach Conor McGregor is being accused of sexual assault during a recent NBA Finals game.
McGregor, who appeared during Game 4 of the series between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat, “attacked” the mascot of the Heat during the game. That prank, though, comes nowhere near the acquisitions fired against the Irish fighter recently.
According to a report from TMZ, a police report has been filed by a woman who alleges McGregor forced himself on her in a bathroom during the June 9 game in Miami. The report has been filed with Miami police, according to Ariel Mitchell, attorney for the female.
Mitchell sent a letter that alleges security for the Miami Heat and NBA forced the woman into the restroom where McGregor was waiting. McGregor’s own legal team claims the allegations are “fake” and the UFC released a statement of its own.
“The organization is aware of the recent allegations regarding Conor McGregor and will continue to gather additional details regarding the incident. UFC will allow the legal process to play out before making any additional statements.”
On their official Twitter account, the Miami Heat posted “We are aware of the allegations and are conducting a full investigation. Pending the outcome of the investigation, we will withhold further comment.”
Latest Of Legal Trouble For McGregor
Over the years, McGregor has faced several issues in court.
In 2018, Irish police investigate a claim of a female who said McGregor raped her in a Dublin hotel. Two years later, French police arrested the fighter after he was accused of exposing himself in a restroom bar.
McGregor is expected to face Michael Chandler later this year in his return to the Octagon.
