Jake Paul and Nate Diaz will finally meet face-to-face on May 9 for a pre-fight press conference in Dallas, Texas.

Before they put the final touches on their training, Jake Paul and Nate Diaz will meet in a pre-fight press conference.

The event, hosted by Ariel Helwani, takes place May 9 from Dallas, Texas. The press conference will be held at the American Airlines Center.

Jake Paul-Nate Diaz meet August 5

Paul and Diaz are scheduled to square off in a boxing match on August 5 from the very same venue. Both Most Valuable Promotions and Real Fight Inc. will promote the press conference and fight card.

Following a back-and-forth over the last year-plus, Paul and Diaz are getting closer than ever to squaring off. This will be the first bout for Diaz since leaving the UFC, while Paul looks to rebound from a loss to Tommy Fury.

The 38-year-old Diaz won 21 matches in his MMA career, including a win last September via submission over Tony Ferguson. That marked his first win since 2019 after back-to-back losses to current UFC champion Leon Edwards and Jorge Masvidal.

Diaz departed from the UFC with the second most submission wins in lightweight history and is tied with Frankie Edgar, Edson Barboza and Dustin Poirier for the most “Fight of the Night” bonuses in promotion history.

The 26-year-old Paul transitioned himself from being a YouTube personality into a combat sports athlete. He made his debut in 2020 and reeled off six consecutive wins, including victories over former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley.

The Diaz-Paul boxing match will take place over eight rounds at 185 pounds and with 10-ounce gloves. DAZN pay-per-view will make it available.

The pre-fight press conference will stream live on DAZN YouTube.

Diaz has also been in the news for an incident involving a Logan Paul-lookalike. Logan Paul, who competes for the WWE, is the brother of Jake Paul. An arrest warrant was issued for Diaz in New Orleans after the altercation.

Reports indicated that Diaz choked out a man on the street after a boxing event in the city. He turned himself in to local authorities facing a second-degree battery charge, but his attorney stated self-defense and he was released on bond.
