At last year’s SummerSlam, Bayley returned from injury and she brought company. She had IYO Sky and Dakota Kai.

It was interesting as Kai was released from WWE earlier in the year without ever joining the main roster. Sky had not been seen for months in NXT and many believed she was on her way out.

While speaking with Ariel Helwani, Bayley discussed Damage CTRL. She noted how she wanted a stable for years and mentioned other names she wanted to include.

“That is something that I’ve thought about for a couple years before it actually happened,” said Bayley. “I know Dakota has talked about this in her interviews in the past.”

“It had a different group of people as the time went on. Peyton Royce was someone that I really wanted in there.”

“Tegan Nox was someone that I wanted in there. There were a lot of people that it just kind of changed throughout time.”

“And as people left the company and things like that, but Dakota was always, she’s one of the OG’s that I always envisioned in this group.”

When Peyton Royce was let go by WWE, she joined Impact Wrestling. For now, she seems busy without the world of wrestling.

Royce married AEW’s Shawn Spears and they had baby boy in January of this year.

Nox was also a causality of WWE’s mass releases. Triple H always dug her and she returned to WWE this past December.

On RAW, Sky and Kai dropped the Women’s Tag Team Championships to Becky Lynch and Lita. In the end, a returning Trish Stratus got involved.

Therefore, Damage CTRL against Lynch, Lita and Stratus seems like a lock for WrestleMania 39.
