The Usos have carved quite a tag team legacy in the WWE. Recently, they’ve achieved a milestone of epic proportions. More on this story, below.

The Usos Hit Milestone

As the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions, The Usos continue to prove why they are the “best of the best” within the company’s tag team division in recent history. Now, they have hit a major milestone.

WWE posted a tweet on their Twitter handle that states The Usos won their SmackDown Tag Team Titles a year ago. That’s a huge accomplishment for any champion, especially when it comes to tag team competition.

More On The Usos & Their WWE Milestone

This current tag team title reign is The Usos 8th as champions. It’ll be interesting to see how much longer they can hold on to the gold.

The Usos entered the WWE main roster in 2010. During this time, they’ve been RAW Tag Champs, three times, and SmackDown Tag Champs, five times.

In addition, Jey Usos won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2021. On behalf of everyone here at WNZ, we offer our “congratulations” to the team on this incredible achievement.

Speaking of incredible wrestling careers, Jeff Jarrett has had an amazing one. So much so, that he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.

He recently was given an executive position with the company and is in charge of live events. This makes it a tad more interesting that he’ll be participating in Ric Flair’s “Last Match” event taking place on July 31st in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jeff Jarrett Given OK For “Last Match”

It’ll be Jarrett teaming up with Jay Lethal, versus Andrade El and The Nature Boy! While it sounds like a great bout, it does seem odd that a WWE employee would be “allowed” to wrestle at an Indie event.

The Usos Hit Milestone

Dave Meltzer chats about this during his latest Wrestling Observer Radio. He notes that while Double J holds a VP role with the WWE, he doesn’t have a talent contract with the company.

Meltzer also talks about how, in the past, Conrad Thompson had booked WWE guys, only for the company to pull them. Dave states that’s not going to happen in this circumstance.

As Meltzer notes that this has already “been worked out”. Jeff Jarrett likely got the “okay” from the WWE to wrestle Ric Flair’s “Last Match” event before everything was announced.

Last Match Announcement Shocked Fans

The opponents for Ric Flair’s final bout were revealed in a very bloody (and shocking) angle on the most recent epi of the docu-series promoting the “Last Match” event. Jay Lethal and Jarrett gave Naitch a massive beating after the press conference in the parking lot.

This prompted Flair to call on Andrade, his son-in-law, for help. It’ll be very interesting to see the dynamics between the four men when they enter that squared circle.

Presented by Jim Crockett Promotions, Ric Flair’s Last Match event will be broadcasted on FITE TV and presented as a pay-per-view (PPV). It’ll be taking place at the world-famous Nashville Fairgrounds.
