The fallout of Sash Banks and Naomi walking out before the May 16th edition of Monday Night RAW continues. According to a new report, the former WWE Women’s Tag Champions are no longer listed within internal roster documents.

There have been a number of reports stating that both Banks and Naomi have been released by the WWE. Now, PW Insider’s Mike Johnson notes that both ladies were taken off the company’s internal roster over the past 24 hours.

Their infamous walkout occurred moments before RAW was set to air that fateful May 16th. As the story goes, Banks and Naomi were unhappy with how they were being booked as WWE Women’s Tag Champs.
Sasha Banks & Naomi Off WWE Internal Listing – The History
The company suspended the talents without pay. They also pulled their merchandise from WWE.com.
While there has been no confirmation from the WWE that they have been released, removal from the company’s internal roster is huge. At some point, officials will have to make it official to fans.
Both Naomi and Sasha were top-level WWE superstars. Banks entered NXT in 2012.
She’d hop onto the main roster in 2015. During her time with the company, she achieved nearly every milestone a superstar would want to reach.
She was NXT Women’s Champion, RAW Women’s Champion (five times), SmackDown Women’s Champion, and WWE Women’s Tag Champion (three times). She also main evented WrestleMania 37.
Meanwhile, Naomi had a “glowing” career with the WWE, too. She signed to the company back in 2009.
Noami took a different road than Banks but achieved great success. She was SmackDown Women’s Champion (twice), Women’s Tag Champion, and won the 2018 WM Women’s Battle Royal.
She also grew her fan base in a different way by appearing on the E! reality show, Total Divas. Her hubby, Jonathan Fatu (a.k.a. Jimmy Uso) was also on the show.
The scandals continue in the land of the WWE. As per another report, a member of the board has resigned.
WWE Board Of Director Quits
PW Insider is also reporting that Connor Schell, a member of WWE’s board of directors, has stepped down. A filing with the SEC was dated July 6, 2022.
The reason behind the resignation is an increase in responsibilities at The North Road Company. As per the report, the resignation was not due to a dispute or disagreement between Schell and the WWE.
Connor Schell’s History On The WWE Board Of Directors
Schell was elected to the company’s board of directors about a year ago. He is an award-winning TV and film, content producer.
He also once sat in an EVP of content role for ESPN. At this time, it doesn’t seem as if his resignation has anything to do with Vince McMahon’s “hush-money” scandal.
In fact, it looks like this has more to do with an expanded role at North Road Company, which is a worldwide multi-genre content studio. At this writing, there’s no word around if a replacement will be named.
