Colt Cabana Done With AEW?

Before joining WWE, CM Punk and Colt Cabana were friends. Some, would even say they were best friends.

In 2018, the relationship turned sour. It all started when Punk appeared on Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast.

The interview was the first time Punk had spoken publicly about his WWE departure. Basically, Punk buried WWE management, creative and their medical staff.

Punk would never return to WWE and Cabana was already gone by that point. During the podcast, Punk spoke negatively about WWE doctor Christopher Amann.

As a result, it led to a lawsuit being filed by Amann. In the end, Punk and Cabana won.

Although, their friendship was heavily damaged. Seemingly, the issue was a disagreement about paying legal fees.

Since Punk joined AEW, there were questions about what would happen with Cabana. According to Fightful Select, many wrestlers went to bat for Cabana.

Apparently, the report noted how talent did not think Cabana’s contract would be renewed. This is did not go over well as Cabana is very popular backstage.

Since then, Cabana worked the ROH Supercard Of Honor produced by AEW. As for appearing on AEW TV, it was noted that he is barely seen backstage.

Despite not being booked, Cabana is still listed on the official AEW roster page.

Cabana joined AEW from the start and was likely used because of his name. Then, he joined the Dark Order and started to appear more often.

Seemingly, AEW is phasing out Dark Order as more members are released. As for Punk, he broke his foot shortly after winning the AEW World Championship.

Late last year, Chris Jericho was stuck in England because of health issues. At the time, he was touring with Fozzy and felt shortness of breath.

Well, he went to the doctor and explained how he had a bunch of blood clots in his lungs. On Talk is Jericho, he went into further details since Tony Khan spilled the beans.

“Alright, so, as the title of this show states, after Tony Khan kind of let the cat out of the bag a few weeks ago, I did have what is called a pulmonary embolism back in December 7th,” said Punk. “I believe, of 2021, and I found this out when I was in London, England.”

“Now, a pulmonary embolism basically means blood clots in your lungs, and that’s what I had.Aa whole bunch of them, which are now pretty much gone. All of them are gone, which is great to hear.”

As a result, Jericho also lost 32 pounds. So, that should put to bed rumors he underwent surgery on his stomach.

Considering how dangerous blood clots are, Jericho is very lucky he went to the doctor. Nowadays, he looks to be in great shape.

He remains busy outside of wrestling, but is still a key figure in AEW. He is feuding with a bunch of people, with focus on Eddie Kingston.
