In the past, Matt Riddle has gotten in trouble for talking about other WWE superstars. Sounds like he’s got some heat again. This time regarding comments about Roman Reigns.

Riddle-Roman Reigns Heat

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio notes this week that Matt Riddle is often portrayed as someone who is a “fool” on WWE television. The character tends to run his mouth without realizing what he is saying.

Art can imitate life sometimes. Apparently, Riddle has recently made comments about Roman Reigns.

This has landed him in an unfavorable position backstage. Sounds like he might have some heat for what he’s done.

More Information On Matt Riddle-Roman Reigns Heat

According to Meltzer, Riddle’s mouth gets him in trouble a lot. Although this isn’t a good thing, Vince does like him, so it won’t affect his push.

Still, Riddle has ruffled feathers with comments he said about the Tribal Chief this week. Matt states that he could beat up the Universal Champion in a “real fight”.

He also added that Roman is not a “needle mover”. Those were from Reigns’ statement regarding CM Punk, which didn’t age well.

While these comments won’t affect his WWE spot on TV, they won’t do him favors backstage. It’s never a good idea to talk trash about any superstar, especially the Tribal Chief.

Anyone else excited about the WWE Draft? It can be a fun season as fans speculate which superstars will move, and which will stay within their brand lane.

For those that missed the show last night, Drew McIntyre took the pin in a triple threat bout. This caught Meltzer’s attention in a big way.

Dave notes that there’s a good chance Drew could go to SmackDown. He mentions that the WWE will have high-level superstars lose on their brand before shipping them off to the other.

Sign Of Respect …

After the loss, Drew did the typical babyface handshake with Damian Priest. It’s a nice sign of respect, especially in a face/face bout.

Priest, current U.S. Champion, accepted the handshake. This could be another “sign” that McIntyre is leaving RAW.

Could he be passing the proverbial top-face “torch” to Priest? Only time will tell.

Regardless, Drew still has some time within Monday Night RAW. The next WWE draft isn’t until October.

With that said, the company could be “setting the stage” for top superstars to leave their brand. Plus, there could be plans for Drew on the blue brand.

It’s been reported that Roman Reigns versus Drew McIntyre has “been on the table”, creatively speaking, for a while now. The Tribal Chief has commented in the past that he has zero issues passing his torch to the Scottish Warrior.

Drew’s a fantastic superstar and babyface. His work both in the ring and on the mic is phenomenal.

He’s done a lot on RAW. There’s so much more he can do on SmackDown, too.
