The Future for Darby Allin
Darby Allin has been a bit lonely at the top recently. In fact, it seems nothing can stop the former TNT champion and his momentum.
However, there could be a change coming. And that change could be none other than the legendary wrestler CM Punk.
Rumors have been rampant about a possible appearance for Punk in the nearby future. It is believed that Darby could be Punk’s first opponent.
Current betting odds indicate that CM Punk will face Darby in a match in Chicago. This match is scheduled for this week.
Whether or not Punk will actually show up in AEW remains to be seen. But it is interesting how the company continued to refer to Punk throughout their programming.
One of the men who hinted at CM Punk appearing on AEW is none other than the promotion’s owner Tony Khan. Even Chris Jericho has not denied a possible appearance for Punk.
CM Punk himself also released some cryptic posts over the past couple of weeks. In fact, fans believe that his recent Instagram posts are riddled with hints and clues.
Punk has neither confirmed nor denied an upcoming appearance in AEW. However, previous rumors about his he always vehemently denied.
So, all indicators at the moment point to Punk heading to All Elite Wrestling. However, it remains to be seen if Darby will indeed be his first opponent.
Since Darby is booked strongly, he could be the ideal opponent for the mythical CM Punk. If he is indeed going to AEW, we are sure AEW wants him to be booked in the best way possible.
