WWE legend Edge is already looking forward to his return to the ring. He suffered a devastating triceps injury that could keep him out for a year, but he already has six wrestlers he wants to face upon his return.
One of the main superstars Edge wants to face is Seth Rollins. Obviously, this would be a great choice for Edge considering the current heel status of “The Monday Night Messiah.”
There are many storylines possible between Edge and Seth Rollins, especially since it is the perfect face-heel situation.
Edge would love to face AJ Styles as well. Of course, this would also mean a transfer to the SmackDown Live brand for the Rated-R superstar.
And the feud could do wonders for AJ Styles too, as he has been drifting somewhat since his stint on Raw. With the good brothers Gallows and Anderson gone, a feud with Edge might be just what he needs.
This is probably the most surprising name revealed in the interview with Edge, as Cesaro is often an underrated superstar. However, it seems Edge does see the value in Cesaro and is excited to face him in a match.
Another man on Edge’s list is Shinsuke Nakamura. Obviously, he could benefit from a feud with Edge, too.
Since moving to the main roster, not much has happened for Shinsuke Nakamura. While he did have a title reign, WWE does not know what to do with him.
Despite the recent controversy surrounding recent controversy surrounding Matt Riddle, Edge also mentioned him in his list of preferred opponents. Riddle only recently made it to the main roster, so he would be an interesting opponent to say the least.
Of course, it is unlikely that Riddle would take a win against Edge. He is also a face character, so this is bound to be a friendly match.
As for the winner of this potential feud, it is clear that Edge would be victorious coming out of this. Nevertheless, it could be an interesting filler feud between pay-per-views.
The potential feud Edge was most excited about was with Ricochet. And it is not difficult to see why, since he is one of the most exciting stars on the roster today.
Unfortunately, Ricochet has been bouncing around a bit since his upgrade to the main roster. Not many people know what happened, but Vince certainly has some responsibility.
A feud with the Rated-R superstar would be ideal for Ricochet, as it gives him the singles attention he actually deserves. It remains to be seen though how this feud would work, as both Ricochet and Edge are face characters.
Ricochet could always turn from a face to a heel character, but I am not sure that is the best thing to do at this point.
