Jesse Ventura Slams Journalists For Rumors He May Run For President

Jesse Ventura slams journalists on social media

Former WWE wrestler Jesse Ventura was subject to some political gossip recently. Several wrestling journalists claimed that he may run for President of the United States. However, that made Ventura furious and he slams the writers who started the rumor.

Fury Against Journalists

Ventura is furious with articles stating he's running for president

Jesse Ventura is a former WWE wrestler who was the Governor of Minnesota. Journalists recently fueled rumors about his, saying Ventura filed paperwork for the next presidential election.

The “fake news” infuriated the former WWE legend. So, Ventura took to social media to address the rumors and slam journalists who aren’t doing their job.

Strong words from Jesse Ventura, but understandable considering the situation.

Ventura also took some time to take a dig at President Trump, stating voting is essential to get “the draft dodgers with so called ‘bone spurs’ OUT OF WASHINGTON in 2020.”

However, in 2016 Donald Trump visited Jesse Ventura to see how it was done since winning the governor’s race was such a big win for Ventura and a HUGE upset for the others. There’s also some footage of Trump’s previous visit in 2000.

Take a look at this video from the archives:

Who Is Jesse Ventura?

Who is Jesse ventura?

If you are a new wrestling fan, you might not know the name Jesse Ventura. So, here’s the lowdown on one of the WWE’s most iconic personalities.

Jesse Ventura has a long list of accomplishments to his name. He was a Navy seal, a Vietnam veteran, a professional wrestler, commentator, actor, and politician.

Before getting into politics, he enjoyed an extensive wrestling career.

Jesse Ventura formed one of the most legendary tag teams alongside Adrian Adonis in the 1980s. He also enjoyed brilliant feuds with the likes of Tony Atlas, Bob Backlund, and Ivan Putski.

In 1985, Ventura became an announcer in the WWE, a coveted and prestigious role for many former wrestlers. Obviously, Ventura was not exactly “politically correct,” so his commentating efforts are legendary.

Ventura became active in politics in 1998 and became a public figure across America. First, he became the mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and would eventually make governor by beating the son of a former United States Vice President Hubert Humphrey.

Previous Statements Counter Denials

Jesse Ventura vehemently denies hell run for president, but some journalists believe the denials are fake. They refer to the previous statements made by Ventura on Fox 11.

“I have that voice in the back of my head that says to me, ‘If not me, then who?’”

Ventura also admitted in the past that he would use “the element of surprise” and enter the race when it came down to the last two candidates.

While some journalists still choose to believe the rumor, I am going with the official tweets from the man himself at this point. He stated on Twitter that he has not intention of running, despite the many pleas from his followers.

Could Jesse Ventura become the United States president? Who knows, but for now the chances of him running for the next presidential election are looking pretty slim.
