Two WWE Superstars Get Major Praise, John Cena Lands Big Movie Role

John Cena Lands Big Movie Role

Top WWE Officials Praise Ali And Elias

While the King of the Ring finals features Baron Corbin vs. Chad Gable, it is a pair of other competitors that have impressed WWE officials. Fightful Select reports that Ali and Elias are two wrestlers that really stood out during the tournament.

Vince McMahon, Eric Bischoff and Kevin Dunn are big fans of Ali and Elias, who is currently out with an injury and was removed from the tournament. After their match earlier in the month, McMahon and Bischoff came up to Ali and Elias to congratulate them on the performance.

Ali was starting to get a major push earlier in the year after he left 205 Live for SmackDown. He was set to be the final entrant in this year’s Elimination Chamber Match with Daniel Bryan, but was removed due to injury. That spot went to Kofi Kingston, who used the momentum win his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35. Ali stayed in the title picture for another month, but has been missing from any major storyline going forward.

As for Elias, he has always stayed close to the main event, but is featured more as a mid card talent. He held the 24/7 Championship a few times, but his most memorable moments are those live concerts. For the past two WrestleManias, Elias has worked with John Cena; not in a match, but he was used to help build segments.

John Cena To Star In Suicide Squad Sequel

John Cena has not been seen too much on WWE TV as he is busy in Hollywood. Do not look for Cena’s acting career to slow down as he recently joined the cast of the Suicide Squad sequel.

The movie will feature over 20 actors and actresses. Including, Margot Robbie returning as Harley Quinn and the same for Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang. Cena is rumored to play DC Comics character Peacemaker.

James Gunn, who tweeted a picture of the cast, will once again be the director and the film it is scheduled for a release date of August 6, 2021.
