‘- Pac (known to WWE fans as Neville) could be headed back to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). His initial run at the upstart promotion never got going due to Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling getting involved. Since Pac held the Open The Dream Gate Championship, other promotions did want him to lose on AEW TV. With Pac recently dropping the title to Ben-K, it has created discussion of a return to AEW.
Initial plans were for Pac to defeat Adam Page at Double Or Nothing and Kenny Omega to get the win over Chris Jericho. This would have led to Omega winning the title over Pac at All Out. Instead, we get Jericho vs. Page with the victor becoming the inaugural AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
With All Out next month, AEW will look to continue the momentum they have created from Double Or Nothing, Fyter Fest and Fight For The Fallen. Plus, they still have their big TV debut this fall on TNT. Lots is going on right now for AEW and brining Pac back would be another step in the right direction.
– Tony Chimel rarely appears on TV nowadays outside of making a special introduction for Edge. Instead, he works primarily behind the scenes for WWE, working as a production manager and as part of the ring crew. Although on Friday night, Chimel worked a live event from Reading.
It was a special moment, as Chimel’s grandson was present and he is a huge fan of WWE. For the first time, Chimel’s grandson was able to watch his grandfather in-person.
Below is footage, which features Curt Hawkins yelling something at the end. Try to guess what he said.
Last night was special for #WWE ring announcer Tony Chimel to be back behind the mic for one night only with his grandson in attendance at #WWEReading! pic.twitter.com/30rSbcEZR5
