‘- With All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) first show Double Or Nothing being a success and having a TV deal with TNT already signed, there seems to be a new alternative in pro wrestling. While AEW is still new, there is now another option for many wrestlers.

During the Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that a large group of WWE superstars have already reached out to AEW. With Dustin Rhodes, Jon Moxley and Shawn Spears (known as Tye Dillinger in WWE) already signing with AEW and being happy with their position, interest continues to grow.

WWE has been trying to sign talent to longer deals with more money and some have re-signed such as AJ Styles and The Usos. Still, others like The Revival seem less concerned about the money and want a decent push on TV. And do not forget, AEW has a wealth of money and they can easily match WWE’s offers.

During the show, Dave Meltzer also mentioned how WWE is suggesting to talent that their promotion is the best option. It is basically if you are not in WWE, then you have not reached the top of the pro wrestling world. 

– Speaking of unhappy talent, there were rumors that Mike and Maria Kanellis were not happy with WWE. They apparently even requested their release in January, which Maria denied. It seems like any problems were resolved as both have re-signed with WWE according to Pro Wrestling Sheet. Their contracts were set to end later in the month.

At Money in the Bank in 2017, Maria returned to the company as her husband debuted with gimmick about love. Before the summer ended, Maria was taken off the road as the couple were expecting their first child. At the same time, we learned that Mike was successfully battling an addiction to pain killers.

Both would do little for most of their WWE run. Eventually, Mike joined the 205 Live brand and Maria would start making appearances after giving birth.
