WrestleMania 35

WrestleMania 35 was  good this year. Contrary to last year, I found myself enjoying most of the matches, leaving out a couple that made little sense. Of course, there were some highlights during the event that stuck out for me. Here is my overview of best Wrestlemania 35 moments!

Miz and Shane Impress!

My favourite match of the night was undoubtedly the one between The Miz and Shane McMahon. Boy, what a match it was! Not only did both guys tell an amazing story over the last couple of weeks, they translated that story in an epic fight. The fight ended with a 15 feet drop for both wrestlers. This is a moment that will be remembered forever!

Let’s Talk About Charlotte!

While most of the crowd was looking at Becky Lynch for the final match of the night, I have to admit I was incredibly impressed with Charlotte. While she has done big matches in the past, she stood out for me considerably. In fact, the intensity and continuous storytelling in the ring is what makes her one of the best female performers in history. Well done Charlotte!

Thuganomics Is Back!

One of the things I absolutely did not expect for WrestleMania was for John Cena to return with an alter ego. While I was sure John Cena would make an appearance as himself, it turns out the WWE had other plans.

Instead of the leader of the Cenation, the WWE got the Dr. of Thuganomics. It was absolutely hilarious. Let alone a 40-plus year old man came out as an early 90ss rapper, he destroyed Elias in the way only the Dr. of Thuganomics could. Well played creative!

Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins Get the Tag Team Titles

Another one I did not expect, but boy did I love it. Not only do I get one of my favourite tag teams back, Curt Hawkins ended his 269 match losing streak. Wonderful!

The IIconics Win the Women’s Tag Team Titles

I was hoping for this, but I did not expect it to happen at all. When they were working in NXT together, I remember telling my other half “those will be the tag team champions one day if they ever come up with a belt for the women’s division.” Not long after, the pair achieved it! I think the IIconics can give the championship the exposure and gravitas it deserves. Congratulations girls!

Here’s The Hulkster

The start of the show was amazing to say the least. We got the lovely Alexa creating a timeless WrestleMania moment by snapping her fingers and bringing out none other than Hulk Hogan!
