Sad news for followers of the Bella army, as Nikki Bella has now officially confirmed her retirement from the wrestling business. Nikki confirmed the news on the season finale of Total Bellas, bringing an end to 12 years of wrestling.
Reasons for Nikki Bella’s Retirement
Nikki Bella has provided a number of reasons for her retirement, but the most important one seems to be the travel.
“The (European) tour was good but I feel like I’m too old for the travel, the travel was really rough. I was like, why am I doing this. I don’t feel good. The girls are doing amazing things over there. I really am ready to hang up the jersey, I can say it fully.”
It is widely know that the WWE has a grueling travel schedule. Of course, the travelling schedule does not only affect veterans, even new superstars find the schedule to be particularly tough.
Nikki Bella’s Career
Nikki Bella has achieved some considerable feats alongside her sister Brie. Still, despite being advertised as twins, Nikki managed to step away from the twin theme and has some personal accolades of her own. Here is a look at her 12-year career.

Nicole became the WWE Divas Champion for the first time on April 23, 2012. She gained the title during a “lumberjill” match. To gain the prestigious championship, Nikki had to go through none other than the Glamazon Beth Phoenix. Of course, some twin magic was involved, but we love it really.

Nikki Bella would conquer the prestigious Divas Championship for a second time at Survivor Series in 2014, where she would beat AJ Lee for the title. She would hold the title for a record breaking 301 days. Since the Divas Championship no longer exists, Nikki Bella is still listed as the longest reigning Divas Champion in history.
Projects Outside of Wrestling
Anyone who wants to continue following Nikki Bella can do so, as the now former WWE wrestler has a lot of side projects she is working on. To give you an overview on how to follow Nikki and to support her, here are some of the projects she is involved in at the moment.
Birdiebee Clothing Line
As a loyal follower of the clothing Birdiebee brand myself, I can tell you this is worth a follow. Alongside her sister Brie, Nikki started this clothing brand a couple of years ago. And even though they might be a little more expensive than your average clothing store, the design and comfort of their clothing is worth the investment.
Not the biggest fan of clothes shopping, but do love a nice glass of wine? If so, you can follow Nikki through her wine label, Bella Radici. Since its launch, the wine label has proven incredibly popular, so it is expected to continue for years to come.
