Who Decided To Stop Taping 205 Live? + WWE Superstars Get Married

Who Decided To Stop Taping 205 Live?

‘- Due to the second season of the Mixed Match Challenge, 205 Live episodes were moved from airing live after SmackDown to being shown during Wednesdays on a tape delay. The decision to have 205 Live return to its live platform following SmackDown was made by none other than Vince McMahon.

According to PWInsider, McMahon made the call because he wants live content to air across the WWE Network. Typically, a show draws better better numbers when it airs live unless something major happens during the tapings.

This past week was the first time in months that 205 Live aired live after SmackDown and there were pictures making the rounds on social media that showed many fans leaving the arena after the blue brand was over. The crowd this week was also noticeably much less into 205 Live compared to when the episodes were taped before SmackDown and aired on a Wednesday. Considering how the cruiserweight division produced some of the best matches of 2018, they deserve an audience the size of RAW or SmackDown.

Also, General Manager Drake Maverick said to be on the lookout for some new names to be added to the 205 Live brand in the coming weeks and months. Humberto Carrillo was the newest addition as he accepted Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy’s open challenge. There is always the possibility that talent from NXT and NXT UK could also dabble on 205 Live.

– Love is in the air lately as superstars have been getting engaged and married in recent weeks. Now, we can add Killian Dain and Nikki Cross to that list as the two tied the knot after being together for over 10 years.

The two worked together in NXT as part of Sanity, but Cross stayed in NXT while the rest of the stable joined SmackDown. With Cross now done with NXT, she is expected to join the SmackDown brand in the coming weeks and may very well end up back with Sanity.

Below are tweets from Dain and Cross; plus, a quick announcement from WWE. And by the way, congratulations to the happy couple from everyone at WrestleNewz.

Longtime SAnitY cohorts Nikki Cross and Killian Dain have tied the knot, as evidenced by a social media post showing off their wedding bands.
