‘- There is no doubt that the biggest name signed to WWE in 2018 has been Ronda Rousey. Even before signing on the dotted line and debuting at the Royal Rumble in January, there were rumblings that the former UFC Champion would be part of the WWE roster. Even though WWE has invested so much into Rousey in such a short time, there are some wondering how long she will be around.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted how WWE does not see Rousey as a lifer compared to Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair. They see her as accomplishing goals and then moving on to the next activity. She has already gone from Olympian to MMA fighter and is now accomplishing her dream to be a wrestler. The next logical step could always be Hollywood, following in the shoes of The Rock and John Cena, or she could always start a family.
The rumored main event for WrestleMania 35 involves Rousey with Charlotte and Becky being mentioned at other participants. The seeds for that feud began back at Survivor Series and continued at TLC. So, there is a chance that Rousey drops the title in the main event of WrestleMania 35 and the focus shifts to other female superstars.
– WWE has called Madison Square Garden (MSG) home for decades, but there could be some friction between the two sides. Days ago, WWE held a live event from the venue and the turnout was awful. At the end of the show, WWE always announces their return date but they did not mentioned anything this time around.
PWInsider suggested that WWE might not run a show at MSG for a decent amount of time. There is some unhappiness on WWE’s part because MSG officials are allowing Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling to run a joint show during the week of WrestleMania. In the past, MSG has only hosted WWE shows.
