SmackDown In A Nutshell: What's Next For New Daniel Bryan

Hello everyone! The SmackDown era under the New Daniel Bryan is in full swing, and tonight we get to see what’s next for New Daniel Bryan. The SmackDown Live World Champion has his sights set on defending his title against former champion AJ Styles when we reach TLC a week from Sunday. But tonight, the champion is due to sit down with his old nemesis,The Miz. It should be an interesting show as the SmackDown roster gears up for TLC. Without any further delay, let’s crack open this Nutshell!

Best Match of the night:

For my money, I would take the triple threat preview. Was a nice match. There were several good matches to choose from tonight, so keep that in mind.

Worst match of the night:

Can I say this first: I really, really wanted to like Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy.

That being said, I was not a fan. What really bothered me tonight was Joe going after Jeff’s drinking. Look, I get it. Jeff Hardy had his past issues, and they no doubt shortened his first run with WWE. Hardy no doubt had to provide  some feedback into the process, but it does not make the issue any less. I was just uncomfortable with that.

Crowd Chants of the Night:

My audio was not great, so I can leave this page blank.

Star of the Night

Daniel Bryan takes this one, and it wasn’t particularly close.

Spot of the Night

Folks, I just don’t have one tonight for SmackDown.

Jobber of the Night:

In the traditional sense,  we don’t have on

Upset of the Night:

Going with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville taking out Charlotte and Asuka. The match was less about tonight, and I get that. Still somewhat surprising to see the heels get the win, but it wasn’t a clean win. so I suppose it makes sense.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

SmackDown In A Nutshell: What's Next For New Daniel Bryan

Was really surprised by Samoa Joe stepping up in the later portion of the show. Joe comes off as the requisite smarmy judge.

Botch of the night:

I did not see one that made me happily

LOL Moment of the night:

I’ll go with New Day having an early snack during the three way match. There wasn’t alo

Noteworthy Moment:

Nothing really noteworthy in my mind.

Overall lowlights:

Not a ton to complain about tonight. I suppose my main point would be with the Hardy/Joe/Orton match. I am not a fan of going into the Hardy drinking past, and when Joe came on, things just did not manifest themselves.

Overall highlights

From top to bottom, this was an old manual-and that’s a nice compliment. Was a good show almost entirely. Never hit a som

After the final bell:

All in all, a good show. Not the best two hour ever, but a very respectable show. New Daniel Bryan continues to be strong and very not likeable. I kind of hate his heel persona, but that’s exactly what we should feel towards a heel, so that’s a plus.
